Sui has made a groundbreaking announcement by unveiling the world’s first handheld gaming console with native Web3 capabilities. This innovative device, known as the SuiPlay0X1, is set to revolutionize the gaming landscape with its integration of a brand-new operating system developed by Playtron. Here’s a closer look at what the SuiPlay0X1 has to offer:

Features of the SuiPlay0X1-

Collaboration with Playtron: Mysten Labs, the company behind Sui, has partnered with Playtron to develop a cutting-edge gaming operating system (OS) that is device-agnostic. This allows users to access gaming stores such as Epic Games, Steam, or Gog, and sign in to all accounts with a single launcher, even on PCs.

Web3 Capabilities: The SuiPlay0X1 is the first handheld gaming console to boast native Web3 capabilities. Users can enjoy both Web3 and Web2 games seamlessly on their PC or mobile device.

Integration of zkLogin: The console will leverage Sui’s revolutionary zkLogin technology, offering a user-friendly onboarding process for Web2 users interested in joining the Web3 ecosystem.

Expected Launch: While the device is not expected to launch until 2025, it is anticipated to be priced around $500. Interested users can join the SuiPlay0X1 waitlist to stay updated on its release.

Sui Integration in the OS-

Sui integrates into the operating system at the account level, providing users with unprecedented access to their games and digital assets. This includes integration with Sui wallets and addresses, simplifying the onboarding process for new users.

The OS integrates multiple gaming stores, enabling users to access a wide range of games from different platforms. By introducing Web3 games, the SuiPlay0X1 aims to make all games native to the platform, breaking down barriers between different gaming ecosystems.

Sui understands the importance of offering engaging games that can compete with Web2 titles. With 70 games already signed up and more in the pipeline, the platform is poised to attract gamers to the Web3 ecosystem.

Sui’s introduction of the SuiPlay0X1 represents a significant milestone in the gaming industry. With its native Web3 capabilities and integration of a new gaming OS by Playtron, the console promises to usher in a new era of gaming. By bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3 gaming, Sui aims to onboard a large number of gamers to the Web3 ecosystem, paving the way for the future of gaming.
